Teachers Need Three Special Skills-5

Some skills are not easy for teachers to acquire. Among many skills, the following three skills are essential for teachers.

Firstly, teaching skill is the most important one for teachers. Not only do they have to tell their knowledge but also they have to help students understand. The most important thing is how they make students interested in study. Students will come to work hard and improve their grades.

Secondly, humor is important in teaching, although it is not always necessary in other jobs. Humor is effective to make even boring lectures interesting. In addition, teachers with good sense of humors are easy for students to talk to them. Students will become proactive in their communications with teachers. It is important for teachers to build relationships of trust with students, and needless to say, communication is necessary to foster it.

Thirdly, gentleness is also one of the essential parts of teachers. It is important for some students to be praised to encourage improvement. Scolding hard may lessen their motivation. Praising is one of the effective ways in education. Not to get into a rage even if students have something they are not good at, teachers need to have gentleness.

In short, teachers have to acquire these three special skills. These are related to the quality of teachers.

Comparison between Osaka and Tokyo-4

Osaka and Tokyo have many similarities and differences. First of all, they are both big cities and have a large population. It is no doubt that everyone recognizes that both cities are the largest cities in Japan. Secondly, both cities have well-developed transportation systems and public facilities such as large hospitals and museums.

At the same time, Osaka and Tokyo have some differences. People in Osaka are very interested in neighbors and like to talk with them even at the first meeting. On the other hand, those in Tokyo are not so much interested in other people and are not so much friendly as people in Osaka.

Another difference is that prices in Osaka are lower than its counterparts in Tokyo. The Bureau of Statistics shows that Tokyo and Osaka are both above the average of Japanese cities in the price level. Tokyo is certainly the top. However, Osaka is ranked under the top 3. The reason is that those in Osaka like thrift.

Even though Osaka and Tokyo have some differences, both cities are important parts of Japanese cities.

Pros and Cons of Part-time Jobs of High School Students-3

Today, about 40% of high school students experience part-time jobs in Japan. The major reasons that they have part-time jobs are for mobile-phone charges and entertainment expenses. Many high schools also allow students to have part-time jobs because of financial difficulties of their families.

However, I do not think high school students should be allowed to have part-time jobs. First of all, doing part-time jobs would undermine academic achievement. Working after school would use up a lot of energy on the part of students, which will lessen energy to do school work. In addition, part-time jobs might lead juvenile delinquencies such as smoking and drinking. Many students work at restaurants and convenience stores. These workplaces have an easy access to alcoholic drinks and cigarettes, so students might be interested in these forbidden items. Moreover, part-time jobs will make students more materialistic and prevent the development of volunteer spirits.

In short, high school students do not need to have part-time jobs.
